Senior Pet Monitoring
In senior pets too, an annual health check remains the basis of good preventive healthcare. From approximately 8 years of age, the risk of age-related conditions gradually increases. During the senior check we therefore not only look at your pet's general health, but also pay particular attention to age-related changes and health risks.

Specific Focus Areas of a Senior Check
Weight
Weight loss or weight gain can be important signals of underlying health problems. We therefore monitor weight closely.
Nutrition
As animals age, their nutritional needs also change. We discuss which diet best suits your pet's life stage and health.
Behaviour
We pay attention to behavioural changes that may indicate age-related conditions or reduced wellbeing.
Health
We screen specifically for conditions that occur more frequently in senior animals, allowing us to detect problems as early as possible.
Additional Tests
Depending on age, health status and findings during the examination, additional tests may be indicated, such as blood analysis, urinalysis, blood pressure measurements, screening for osteoarthritis, radiographs or tests for conditions such as hyperthyroidism.
